some day ago i make a Howto for setting unijoy in linux (debian). here is the compressed file download
and test if it’s working. Any problem, write comments.
Installation was smooth with Mandriva control centre. Within Gedit it works fine. But I cannot useSKIM to write in Bengali in this form. I put my name using KDE keyboard tool (K-menu-> System-> Configuration-> KDE -> Accessibility-> keyboard layout).

hi,
how can i use Unijoy on ubuntu 6.06? 🙁 i tried you steps… but failed…
not working on ubuntu, i found inscript and phonetic …
regards,
May be right now it’s not possible. as m17n library of ubuntu 6.06 is not added unijoy. u can compile ur own package with unijoy support.
